Green Building

Build a home that will be treasured for generations.

At Sun Dance Ridge, we’ve taken a long-term ethical and economic perspective to building our community.  Preserving the very nature of the environment you want to build your home in makes sense and to that end we are promoting the LEED Residential Program promoted by the United States Green Building Council and the HealthyBuilt Homes Program of the Western North Carolina Builder’s Association.

Constructing your home to the guidelines of these groups assures that it will be more efficient in terms of energy, water, and material usage with improved indoor air quality. These programs also dramatically reduce the environmental impact of the construction process, ongoing maintenance costs and extend the life of the overall structure.

LEED and HealthyBuilt Home certification fees cover plan review, construction, supervision and final inspection.
